Sini where r u ? Metin2 what?
Hi there folks,

Atavus told me he found a nice gem of a free MMOG called Metin2.
Well it's free and available in various Languages, so I thought let's check it out

I selected the Dutch server and checked it out.
Can tell you the experience was slow at 1st.
Coulnd't help myself looking for another free MMORPG which I ofc found.

COS (Chronicles of Spellborn)
COS graphics are more on par with WOW graphically.
Of course this is more demanding on the hardware your play it on.

Metin2 on the other hand even plays nicely on an old Dell D510 laptop.
(tested by Jacky )

Metin should be even playable on very old hardware.
A simple system with on-board graphics should do fine.

Atavus eventually convinced me to try Metin2 once more.
Metin2 started to grow on me and got used to 1680x1050 32bpp.
(boosted/forced to the max with the NVIDIA control panel).
It's easy 2 start 3 game sessions (main char, level char and a market to sell my found stuff)
I could still have 70 IE sessions open and a bunch of other programs (ie. HLSW, Ventrilo, IRC, SQLMonitor etc...)
And yet still have a very responsive system.
The platform tested was a E6600 @3.3Ghz, 4Gb Dominators and an ASUS 8800GTS 640MB (G80).
This system was top of the bill 2 years ago, but nowadays mediocre at best

Because of the mentioned low needed system specs. its in reach of a lot of potential players.
And hence a lot of Dutch players can be found in-game in the Netherlands channel. (2 servers available)

I can tell you we (Jacky, Atavus and yours truly) have a lot phun leveling our char(s).
This is also the reason why you will only find me in CS on Thursdays and Fridays.
As soon as we have founded our own OC-Hades gilde (lvl40 char needed) we will let you know

Well I can rattle about it a lot longer and do a in depth review but I invite you to try it our yourselves.
Look for OCHsinister in the red Shinso Faction

Update
Now OC-Hades also have a guild
Come join us

OC-Hades LAN-Party v6 2009
Wow...... what can I say...each year the LAN seems to get better.
This year we even had our Northern BIA's PpG.

The lan was in August, but due to certain circumstances we we're not able to drop a line sooner :'(
For me personally I liked this LAN best (insiders know why this lazy dude had more fun then previous years )

BBQ, CampFire, Fraggin, Racing, Eating and consuming various types of nurishments
Only a leather football was missing this year

I can't wait for next year!!!!!!!
The photo's can be found at the same place as usual only this year we decided not to scale them to mini sizes.
Thumb, previews and downloadable full sized originals are in place.

Hope you enjoyed the LAN and the photos as much as I do.

Sneak prev.
Behold this basecamper below
